Croatia is a great new biking destination with scenic coastal roads, friendly people, good wine, tasty cuisine and a heritage that dating back to the Roman times. On this trip our final destination is the costal resort of Rovinj. This part of Croatia is surrounded by mountains and because of its warm Mediterranean climate is often referred to as the French Riviera of Eastern Europe. |

| In
Rovinj we stay in a four star hotel with a restaurant,
safe car park, indoor and outdoor swimming pool,
sports facilities,
sauna,
and beach. On our days off we shall visit the remains of the Roman amphitheatre in
Pula and the island of Brijuni,
the one-time summer residence of former Yugoslavian president Marshal
Tito. One of the days off can also be used to take a ride to explore the
lakes and waterfalls of the Plitvice
National Park. This is a European tour with a capital
E. Seven countries in
fourteen days.
Join us on this tour that
takes us through the Lorraine region in France, some high mountain
passes of the Swiss Alps and Italian Dolomites,
Lake Bled in Slovenia, Austrian Tyrol, and the Black Forest in
Germany. |
