This trip to the South of France is an absolute favourite of ours and has been included in our tour programme for the third year running. First overnight stop is in the Champagne region in a 3 star hotel with an evening meal. On our way to the Rhône Valley we shall ride some great roads of the Haute Marne and experience panoramic views of the French Alps. We shall then, by riding along the historic Route Napoléon, descend to the Cote d’Azur. A small town in Provence close to the South coast will be  our base for the next three days. We shall stay in a family run hotel next to a white water river which has a cosy tavern and safe parking. Days off can be used to visit nearby Grasse with its famous perfume factories, take a ride to the Gorges du Verdon, or visit Cannes, Nice, and Monte Carlo. During the last two days we shall take a wonderful ride across rural France on open flowing almost traffic free roads towards the Champagne region for overnight stops, evening meals and a few glasses of bubbly. The tour reaches Calais for a late afternoon crossing to Dover.
